                                Self-monitoring helps you take control of your pain. Think of it as learning the basics of your pain so you know it and how to manage it better. Start a daily journal of your pain to monitor how your pain reacts to different activities and what makes it better or worse. It will also help you when you see your healthcare professional as they will get a better picture of your pain and what makes it better/worse.
